About the Work
This is an exciting position for a talented Lead Software Engineer with proven experience to join our Brisbane team. The Lead Software Engineer is the conduit between the customer and our own engineering team – they connect the dots between the commercial, technical, and business requirements. They are in charge of:
  • How the customer vision will be realised,
  • What the best technical solution is – balancing cost / effort & time
  • What the best delivery approach is and how we would organise ourselves
  • How we ensure we do, what we say we would and ultimately exceed our customer’s expectations.

About you

  • Experience in successfully planning and delivering projects of varying complexity.

Do your business capabilities include?

  • Experience in leading the development of solutions with a focus on business enablement and outcomes.
Do your technical capabilities include
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in the end-to-end design and implementation of Internet scale web and mobile applications using cloud native services
  • Demonstrated technical expertise of one or more of the following programming languages: Typescript/Javascript, Java, Python, GoLang, or .Net,
  • Experience with React, React Native, Typescripts, GraphQL,
  • Understanding of modern software engineering techniques: microservice and event driven architectures, test driven development and continuous delivery
  • Experience with AWS (AWS certification is highly desirable).
  • Understanding of DevOps. Being able to talk from real-life experience about automation, pipelines and the culture shift required.
  • An agile practitioner with the ability to work with modern collaboration tools (confluence, JIRA) and support new ways of working, thinking, and behaving
